Subject: Prohibition on export of wheat Products– Exemption for export of wheat flour to Maldives for the year 2011-12.
S.O. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes, the following addition with immediate effect at the end of Paragraph No. 2 of Notification No. 33(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 08.10.2007, as amended from time to time (pertaining to prohibition on export of wheat and wheat products).
2. In Notification No. 33(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 08.10.2007, sub para 2.11 was added on 28.02.2011 vide Notification No. 27(RE-2010)/2009-14. Now another sub-para 2.12 is added as under:
“2.12 The prohibition imposed by Notification No. 33(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 08.10.2007 on export of wheat products shall not be applicable to export of 32,094.70 MT of wheat flour to Maldives through M/s. MMTC Ltd.”
3. This quantity shall be exported by M/s. MMTC Ltd. during the Financial Year 2011-12 i.e. upto 31.03.2012.
4. Effect of this notification:
The export of 32,094.70 MTs of wheat flour to Maldives, is permitted under the Bi-lateral Trade Agreement between Government of India and the Republic of Maldivesthrough M/s. MMTC Ltd. upto 31.03.2012. Sd/-
